Volunteers Attended the CBDRRM Training

          The training of Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction Management by the Philippine Red Cross – Cebu North Chapter was made successful by the cooperation of Red Cross 143 volunteers coming from three barangays of the City of Bogo namely, Bungtod, La Purisima Concepcion, and Taytayan. The three-day training from July 9 – 11, 2019 was held at Hagnaya Beach Resort, Hagnaya, San Remigio, Cebu. A field activity was done on the community of Purok Nangka, Argawanon, San Remigio, Cebu on the second day of the training. Volunteers had their practice together with some residents of Purok Nangka and gathered data based from questions related to disaster. Here, the schedule of the training is being stipulated.


          The training aimed to give knowledge, awareness and skills to the volunteers that for the time of disaster, they will be ready to serve the community as also guided with the seven fundamental principles in an order, humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. The team of Philippine Red Cross – Cebu North Chapter was composed of contributing staffs namely, Mr. Helbert Lopez, Mrs. Juvy, Ms. Rona Amelio, Mr. Rogelio Montejar, Mr. Jay Evangelio and the rest of the supporting staffs.
