"Uswag Pamilya" Caravan by the LGU - Bogo

          The Local Government Unit of Bogo conducted an "Uswag Pamilya" Caravan to the residents of Sitio Laray, Bungtod, Bogo City, Cebu. The event was attended by the parents and the group of youth from the two puroks, the Purok Emerald and Purok Red Coral. It was happened in the morning of March 23, 2019 at the chapel of San Jose and San Jose Chapel Ground and the seminar was divided into two groups, one group for the parents and another group of the youth.

          The seminar with the parents was a talk about responsible parenthood. Mrs. Anecita D. Morente was the speaker on that certain topic which she discussed more on the ways of how to be a responsible parent on their children. She also stressed the topic on concrete techniques to show a good parent. As a mother also, she gave awareness to the other parents towards the behavior of the children and to teach them on how to be a responsible on the household chores.

          Another speaker who taught and stressed on the role of the fathers in their children and was explained further by Mr. Dante P. Lepon, another person who joined the team of the LGU - Bogo. Aa father, it is important to spend your time to the children despite of being busy on the work. The father also have an important role to nurture their child as good citizens in this country and to give a right discipline when the misbehavior comes on the child.

          On the other group of the youth, they were taught about the health awareness of the adolescents and it was discussed by Mr. Angelo Jay T. Samidara, a Grade 12 student from City of Bogo Science and Arts Academy. He discussed the concrete and actual happenings of some adolescents in our society today, such as early pregnancy, rape, and murder. He also stressed more on early pregnancy which he gave awareness to the youth about the certain issue.

          Mrs. Susan M. Minguez had also shared some insights to the parents and youth and teach them on how to become responsible of our actions and decisions in life to have a better future. The event was also assisted  by Mrs. Marilyn M. Melendres as she was assigned in the registration of the residents. The event was made succesful by the cooperation of each other.
